Upon arriving at the Fontoo Art Hotel space, follow in the footsteps of Mr. Liang Siyong's archaeological team, tracing back to the late 1920s Ang'angxi site. Employ artistic design techniques to dive deeply into the profound examination of past and present, excavating objects and utensils meticulously crafted by time, deciphering the fishing and hunting deep within the grasslands, and engaging in dialogue with the memories etched on both banks of the Nenjiang River.

Qiqihar Fontoo Hotel is situated in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, approximately 1.5 kilometers away from the Qiqihar Museum and 5 kilometers from the Ang'angxi Cultural Site. The hotel spans an area of about 9,046 square meters, features 128 guest rooms and suites. Its main functional areas include lobby reception area, lobby lounge area, restaurant, SPA, meeting room, etc., catering to guests' needs for experiential and personalized accommodation during their travels.

The hotel takes the archaeological excavation of the Ang'angxi culture in Qiqihar as the inspiration for the overall spatial design theme. It integrates historical artifacts such as stone tools, pottery, and bone implements, along with the fishing and hunting culture of the northern grasslands, with the Fontoo brand ethos. The process of cultural archaeology is connected with the interior space dynamics, combining retro color schemes with finely crafted art installations. The designers have created a modern, sophisticated, yet rustic textured artistic space, exploring the unique imprint of the Ang'angxi civilization in art.

The hotel's overall spatial design cultivates an artistic temperament that blends the old with the new, integrating the cultural history and urban essence of Qiqihar. The scale of the space, colors, artworks, installations, and more are interwoven, allowing art to flow into everyday life and creating a space with a captivating charm.

In terms of color, the design incorporates the brand's distinctive Fontoo Blue, the iconic dark gold of Art Deco, the deep gray of stone, the creamy white of pottery, the earthy and soil tones characteristic of archaeological sites, and the yellowish-brown hue of pottery fragments excavated from Ang'angxi. Colors and shadows weave through the space, while memories of human culture history flicker within it.

In terms of materials, the hotel showcases some mottled textures and antiqued finishes, which manifest the marks left by time as it traverses through the vicissitudes of thousands of years. The furniture and lighting fixtures continue the Fontoo brand's consistent metallic sophistication and attention to detail. In the furnishings and artwork, the rough and rustic textures of pottery and stone are highlighted. Clean lines and intricate patterns enrich the spatial layers and visual experiences, blending modernity with vintage elements and juxtaposing refinement with ruggedness.

Archaeology, mediated by soil. Exploration, in search of purity. DOM pursues roots and origins with an artistic perspective that strives for perfection, examining the traces of Ang'angxi in Qiqihar, and delving into the essence of the Fontoo art feast.
